Here are three things to get you started:

1. The first thing you need to do is put your name and contact details on the back of a few of the catalogues. These are one of our most useful selling tools. You want as many people as possible to see them, and you must have your details on the back for them to contact you. At a later date you can print or buy name and address labels, but for the moment you can just write on your name and telephone number.

2. You may have bought some stock, but even if you haven’t you have some sample cards. Grab a handful of the cards you really like, and a catalogue, and go and show someone, your neighbour, best friend or mum. Tell them you are really excited, you have just started this, what do they think, see if they have ideas of people you could show. Be warned the first person I showed didn’t like them and told me so, (see video 5), but don’t let that stop you, and if they do that is the worst thing that will ever happen to you in your business and you will survive! Hopefully the person will be supportive and it will seem easy.

3. So you have taken some action which is great, now I recommend that you put a date in your diary within the next 10 days where you invite as many people as you can to come and look at your cards. Put it in your diary and invite someone. Then you need to start telling everyone you can.

Well done this is a brilliant start. If you haven’t already done so this would be a really good time to get in touch with the person who sponsored you.
