Congratulations… by investing in the Fresh Air for Happiness course you will be happier, more content, less stressed and more creative. This twelve week course takes you through strategies that will make you more focused and clear headed. You will find yourself responding to things rather than reacting to them. Situations and comments that would have once stopped you reaching for your dreams will no longer do so.
The course downloads will be sent in weekly instalments so you can save them on your phone or iplayer and listen to it whilst walking outside.

How: This course is designed to be used outside walking. Thinking that you will save time by listening to it in your car or whilst doing something else at home, will not maximise the benefits to you. You need to set aside a minimum of 30mins once a week, and ideally 30-40mins 2-3 times a week. I see progress with clients who go out once a week, but the more you do it the better it will be for you.
Each session has about 15 minutes of me talking in short chapters. It is designed so that I talk to you in short bits and then you reflect for a while on what I have said. There is no right or wrong in any of it. Take as long as you choose to sit with any idea, and if something doesn’t work for you on one day come back to it another day. None of this is designed to be rushed so take your time and work at a pace that is right for you.
Where should you walk: The answer to this is where you are comfortable. In my opinion if you can get anywhere near something green (a park, fields, woods) or a body of water that is perfect, but if neither of those is possible, then just being outside is fine.If you are in a residential area, possibly pick some where you can see nice gardens.
When should I walk: When you plan to. Don’t let the weather put you off, one of the really important lessons in this course is about walking whatever the weather, so just dress for whatever you have been given and get out. One other thing on this subject, when you are really busy and have absolutely no time to do this, this is the time you need to do it most – trust me on this one! Plan into your diary the times you intend to walk each week, and stick to it. If you are really pushed for time you can always throw an extra one in

In week four we looked at what your big dream is. It is possible that over the last few weeks things have begun to change or you are beginning to get more clarity. I know that the more time I spend in mindfulness practice the clearer things become for me. This week we explore our goals in more detail and start to flesh-out what it is we want when and think about the first steps in the right direction.
